Dizziness – Specific mechanisms in your inner ear serves two purposes; to hear and balance. A sensation of spinning or dizziness, known as vertigo, can be an inner ear issue.
Ear Infection – The ear can be infected in three different sections; the inner, middle, and outer ear. Each area is important to hearing and balance capabilities. While most infections resolve itself within a week, physical examination is necessary to understand the type of infection, prevent spreading, and get treatment to help relieve pain.
Hearing Loss – Hearing loss can be gradual or sudden, and it can occur in one ear or both. Although it’s usually associated with the aging process, hearing loss can happen in all ages from a variety of causes.
Mouth Sores – Most mouth sores are not serious, but some may be a precursor to cancer. It’s important to get these different mouth sores examined to determine the severity.
Neck Pain – Neck pain occurs when the muscles in the neck are overworked, either by physical activities or stress. It can also be a symptom of the flu or meningitis. Dr. Lapco can address these issues and determine ways to alleviate the pain.

Snoring/Sleep Apnea – Snoring is a noise that occurs when the throat relaxes during sleep. Sleep apnea is a more severe case when the throat completely collapses, temporarily blocking the breathing process. Sore Throat – Many individuals experience a sore throat from sickness, like the cold or flu. However, there are causes of sore throats that can be a more serious problem.
Head and Neck Cancers – Most of these cancers are usually preventable, since they are usually caused by tobacco use and alcohol consumption. If these cancers are caught early, they are generally curable as well. However, it’s still important to address the issue as soon as possible, if you have specific symptoms.
Oral Cancers – These cancers are usually detected by red or white patches in the mouth tissue that are painless and can’t be scraped off. Generally, these cancers occur on the tongue or floor of mouth, but can be on the cheek area as well. These can be serious if not detected early.
